In 1982 we were joined by Tugwood Hallmark ‘Marcus’ who took
to obedience training straight away and competed at shows throughout
the summer months.
He then
joined Gilly and Rory and made up Dave's first picking up team |

In 1983 we were lucky to be able to get a pure working bred Golden
from Wendy and David Andrews of the Catcombe affix, Catcombe Cheeky
‘Gilly’ he started basic obedience training but at the same
time Wendy got David interested in gundog training
and he went
on to gain his, and Dave's first ever working test award when they
won first place at the ECGRC novice working test held at Ampton. He
enjoyed a few years on the picking up team before we lost him at
only 6 years old to cancer. |

Catcombe Catastrophe at Millgreen (Rory)

DOB: 13/7/1984

Rory
followed on in his half brothers footsteps and won several working
tests and he was the first dog that Dave competed with in field
trials where together they won several awards. |

Catcombe Cheshire at Millgreen (Ches)

DOB: 2/6/1986
| Ches was such a special boy, he was never really a lover
of the show ring but he still won some 1st at Championship shows. He
had a natural working ability gaining several field trial
awards as well as winning working tests with Dave. He also enjoyed
many years of picking up on the shoots. He sired some lovely puppies
that include qualified assistance dogs, show winners as well as passing
on his superb temperament and working ability. |

DOB: 15/3/1988
| Cher was such a show girl and always gave her best. She
won 1 CC and 1RCC. She also gained her show gundog working
certificate as well as awards at working tests. Like all our dogs
she enjoyed a days picking up and was a valuable member of Dave's
picking up team. In 1997 she was awarded TOP BROOD BITCH due to
the wins of her successful children. |

‘April’was
Dave's next working golden who due to injury was only run in trials
for a short time but nevertheless had several awards. |

Ch Millgreen Moonstruck (Amy) 3CC's & 1
RCC

Kerrien - Catcombe Cher at Millgreen)
DOB:12/6/1991
Hips: 7/9
Amy made a slow but steady start to her show career and
at 2 years old she blossomed into a super bitch who went on to win
3CC's, 1 res CC and her Show gundog working certificate.
Thus making her our first home bred, home owned Full Champion. |

Showing Ria has always been great fun, just getting four
feet on the ground all at the same time was a challenge!!
She
gained several championship show firsts along with her kennel club
Stud Book number. |

Misty did well in the show ring as a puppy but after her
first season she decided showing really wasn't for her.
She
found her favourite place curled up in the armchair!! |

DOB: 8/11/1997
| After an early hiccup of pyometra at only 12 months old, Josie
proved her self to be an excellent worker. During the 1999/2000
season she was awarded two second places and a first place in AV
field trials. Unfortunately Josie got bitten by an adder during a
working test and even though we tried everything for many
months she gradually got worse and sadly we lost her at only 9 years
old. |

DOB: 21/9/1997
Hips: 5/6
| Hannah had a very successful show career right from the
start winning her junior warrant and stud book number at 13 months
old and her full Champion title at 4 years old. At just over 2 years
she also won a lovely Post graduate class and the RCC at Crufts under Mrs Lyn
Anderson (Linchael). She gained her show gundog qualifier at 15
months and loved nothing more than a day out working.
Unfortunately we lost Hannah at just 9 years old to the dreaded
cancer. |

Alfie joined us in 2003, his
dam is full litter sister to our very own Ch. Millgreen Midnight
Mist.
Alfie's litter sister, Show
Champion Thornywait Music of the Nite JW, owned by Susanna has
also had a wonderful start to her show career gaining her Junior
Warrant very quickly and now has her Show Champion title.
Having only produced a few litters while at stud
his daughter from his first
litter, Stvincent All That Jazz, has made a lovely start to her show
career with 2CC's. He has also produced another junior warrant
winner in Torsinski Dancing Melody.Alfie now lives
with our friend.... |
